FAQ

What’s the difference between a menstrual cup and a menstrual disc?

La Cup sits lower in the vagina and works with a gentle suction effect.
Le Disque is positioned higher, behind the cervix, with no suction. The sensations and insertion method are therefore different.

Can you have sex while wearing a menstrual disc?

Yes. That’s one of its key advantages: the disc can stay in place during penetrative sex without causing discomfort or being felt by you or your partner. It offers total freedom, even during your intimate moments.

I'm wearing and IUD, should I use La Cup ?

The use of an IUD does not prevent you from using La Cup Luneale, as long as the strings are cut short enough, and keeping in mind that spontaneous IUD expulsions are not uncommon during the first three months after insertion.

La Cup Luneale is actually the menstrual cup recommended by many midwives for its low suction effect.

I have given birth but I have a low flow, which size should I choose?

Regardless of your age or whether you've given birth vaginally or not: choose the size based on your flow, according to the equivalence chart with disposable pads we have established (in the case of the question, size S).

This advice applies if you have undergone proper pelvic floor rehabilitation. Otherwise, the Cup may slip, but don't go up a size, as it would only delay the issue: you will need to re-tone your pelvic floor (which is important).
