    The new internal protection

The Disc is ideal if you have a weak pelvic floor or if you want to enjoy intimate moments during your period.

    No suction effect

The Disc rests at the front on the pubic bone, and is secured at the back in the fornix (vaginal cul-de-sac): it therefore stays in the body physically, not through your pelvic floor and suction effect.

    Simple placement

    keyboard_arrow_down

Thanks to its rear notch, you simply fold it in half before inserting it towards the back of the vagina. To finish positioning it, place your finger in the MoonDrop to position the front of the Disc on your pubic bone.

    Zero discomfort

Smooth design with no angles, no stem, no ring. You don't feel it when you wear it.

    Easy removal

The MoonDrop (the specific location at the front of the Disc) allows you to release the Disc from its position on the pubic bone with one finger to remove it gently. However, be careful: since removal is done at an angle, it must be removed over the toilet or in the shower.

    Hands-free emptying

Some people manage to dislodge The Disc from behind the pubic bone simply with their pelvic floor muscles, which allows them to empty it on the toilet. If this is your case, still remember to remove and rinse The Disc every 6 hours.

    Premium and safe material.

    • Before you start

      Sterilize The Disc:

      • Either by immersing it for 5 minutes in a saucepan of boiling water

      • Or by immersing it in a glass of water that you place in the microwave for 5 minutes at 700W
       Image
    • Insertion

      Wash your hands thoroughly.

Fold the Disc in half and insert it towards the back of the vagina, starting with the notch.

Once the back is positioned behind your cervix, insert your finger into the MoonDrop and lift the front of the Disc to position it above your pubic bone, so as to secure it.

    • Removal

Wash your hands thoroughly and position yourself above the toilet or in the shower.

Place your finger in the MoonDrop and release the front of the Disc from behind your pubic bone, then slide it out.

IMPORTANT: removal must be performed above the toilet or in the shower, because the Disc is tilted during removal and may therefore empty.

    • Cleaning during menstruation.

You can clean Le Disque with cold drinking water (to avoid setting the colour) or with La Mousse. When travelling, you can use a water bottle or Le Cleaner.

    FAQ

What’s the difference between a menstrual cup and a menstrual disc?

La Cup sits lower in the vagina and works with a gentle suction effect.
Le Disque is positioned higher, behind the cervix, with no suction. The sensations and insertion method are therefore different.

Can you have sex while wearing a menstrual disc?

Yes. That’s one of its key advantages: the disc can stay in place during penetrative sex without causing discomfort or being felt by you or your partner. It offers total freedom, even during your intimate moments.

Why does Le Disque indicate a 6-hour wear time instead of 12?

A recent French law requires that the maximum wear time indicated for tampons and menstrual cups be limited to 6 hours. Menstrual discs, being newer products, are not explicitly mentioned in this regulation. Some brands take advantage of this legal “grey area” to claim a 12-hour wear time.

But since menstrual discs are also internal protections made from the same material as menstrual cups, we prefer to take the most responsible approach by indicating a 6-hour wear time, even though the law does not (yet) require it.

Of course, in real life, we’re not with you in your bathroom, you are free to use Le Disque as you see fit.

However, as a committed brand, we believe it’s important to provide the most accurate and cautious information, so you can make informed choices.

    Where is Le Disque made?

Le Disque Luneale is currently manufactured in China, as we do not yet have the industrial equipment required to produce it in France. Bringing production back to France is, of course, our goal, but it would require several hundred thousand euros in specialized tooling.

To our knowledge, no menstrual disc is currently produced in France or even in Europe (and remember, a French brand does not necessarily mean French manufacturing).

However, we have carefully selected a high-tech factory that operates under very strict standards of quality, safety, and social and environmental responsibility. Le Disque is made from the same high-quality medical-grade silicone as La Cup (a German Wacker silicone), without any added chemicals or dyes, and meets the most rigorous medical device standards, including:

    • ISO 13485:2016 : quality management system for medical devices
    • ISO 14971:2019 : risk management for medical devices
    • ISO 13993-1/-5/-10 : biocompatibility (toxicity, irritation, cytotoxicity testing)

We believe that trust is built on facts and transparency. That’s why we chose this factory for its reliability, traceability, and commitment to ethical manufacturing.
