Wash your hands.
Fold La Cup using the method of your choice (C-fold or tulip fold) and insert it gently into the vagina.
Release the fold and twist it towards the back, until it is positioned approximately 1 finger joint from the vaginal opening.

Pinch the base of La Cup and pull it out.
If La Cup has moved up a little high, squat or push gently with your pelvic floor to bring it down and make it accessible.
Rinse the Cup with cold drinking water (hot water may set blood pigments), then reinsert it.
You can also use a cleanser designed for use with menstrual cups such as La Mousse, but don't use soap or shower gel, which could damage the silicone or affect the naturally acidic pH of your vagina.
Sterilize The Cup either by boiling it for 5 minutes, or by immersing it in a glass of water placed in the microwave for 5 minutes.
