Classic or Tonic?

The classic version is the original version of La Cup: it suits the vast majority of people, with its firmness of 50 shore.

However, if you have a very toned pelvic floor (for example, if you do a lot of sport with genuine consideration for your pelvic floor), or if you prefer firmer cups, then the Tonic will also suit you. Its firmness is 70 shore.

    What's wrong with your protection

    You have tried everything.

You know very well that disposable products cause irritation, pollute, are expensive, and are not always neutral for your body and health.

You tried ordinary menstrual cups, which were supposed to solve everything.

But they turned out to be too rigid or too soft, painful to remove, or simply uncomfortable because of their rubbing stem.

Result: you gave up using them, unable to find protection truly suited to your body. But you haven't given up finding one and that's why you're here.

"I know what you're thinking: another brand promising the moon"

You're right to be wary of fine words.

That works out well: we prefer evidence.

We have been manufacturing The Luneale Cup in France 🇫🇷 for over 10 years.

More than 230,000 people trust it, with 96% satisfaction.

You'll understand what makes The Luneale Cup the number 1 menstrual cup in France.

    Simply the best menstrual cup

    No stem to cause injury

    keyboard_arrow_down

Thanks to its exclusive patented stem-free design, you experience no discomfort during active days or exercise sessions, without complicating removal (quite the opposite!)

Adapts to your body and movements

    keyboard_arrow_down
    add remove

The body of La Cup Luneale is thin and flexible to adapt to your anatomy and movements. The Cup does not constantly press on your pelvic floor as ordinary cups do.

    Waterproof tonic ring

    keyboard_arrow_down

Only the upper ring of the Cup is firm to ensure maximum seal and easy unfolding after insertion.

    Low suction effect

    keyboard_arrow_down
    add remove

The suction effect, often uncomfortable or painful with ordinary cups, is considerably reduced during removal since the shape encourages proper pinching of the base. This is particularly reassuring if you wear an IUD.

    Easy to use

The MoonPad® makes insertion and removal easier by allowing you to screw it easily to deploy it properly, making it the ideal menstrual cup for beginners.

    How to use? Extremely simple.

Insert it in seconds, wear it for maximum 6 hours at a time, empty, rinse and reuse.

    For 5 years.

That's over 2000 disposable products that you (and the planet) will save.

    • Insertion

      Wash your hands.

Fold La Cup using the method of your choice (C-fold or tulip fold) and insert it gently into the vagina.

Release the fold and twist it towards the back, until it is positioned approximately 1 finger joint from the vaginal opening.

    • Removal

      Wash your hands.

Pinch the base of La Cup and pull it out.

If La Cup has moved up a little high, squat or push gently with your pelvic floor to bring it down and make it accessible.

    • Care during periods

Rinse the Cup with cold drinking water (hot water may set blood pigments), then reinsert it.

You can also use a cleanser designed for use with menstrual cups such as La Mousse, but don't use soap or shower gel, which could damage the silicone or affect the naturally acidic pH of your vagina.

    • Care between periods

Sterilize The Cup either by boiling it for 5 minutes, or by immersing it in a glass of water placed in the microwave for 5 minutes.

    FAQ

I have given birth but I have a low flow, which size should I choose?

Regardless of your age or whether you've given birth vaginally or not: choose the size based on your flow, according to the equivalence chart with disposable pads we have established (in the case of the question, size S).

This advice applies if you have undergone proper pelvic floor rehabilitation. Otherwise, the Cup may slip, but don't go up a size, as it would only delay the issue: you will need to re-tone your pelvic floor (which is important).

I'm less than 30 years old, should I choose size S?

If you have a light flow, yes. Otherwise, choose the size that suits your flow. Don't worry, there's only a 3mm difference in diameter between each cup size, so it won't affect your comfort.

I'm wearing and IUD, should I use La Cup ?

The use of an IUD does not prevent you from using La Cup Luneale, as long as the strings are cut short enough, and keeping in mind that spontaneous IUD expulsions are not uncommon during the first three months after insertion.

La Cup Luneale is actually the menstrual cup recommended by many midwives for its low suction effect.

Starting from what age can one use La Cup?

The possibility of using a menstrual cup is not really related to age, but more to one’s relationship with their body. One can be 12 years old and very comfortable with insertion, or 30 and not comfortable with it. Physiologically, there is nothing preventing the use of La Cup from the first period.

    Learn more about menstrual cups

What is a menstrual cup and how does it work?

A menstrual cup is a reusable, bell-shaped period protection device. It is inserted into the vagina to collect menstrual blood and can be worn for up to 6 hours. Unlike tampons or pads, it is durable, eco-friendly, and gentle on the body.

Why choose a stem-free menstrual cup?

Stem-free menstrual cups, like La Cup Luneale, provide better everyday comfort. Without a stem, there’s no rubbing or discomfort, while the ergonomic design makes removal easy and intuitive.

How to choose the right menstrual cup?

Choosing a menstrual cup depends on several factors: flow, age, pelvic floor tone, and preferred comfort. La Cup Luneale comes in 3 sizes depending on your flow and 2 firmness levels depending on your pelvic tone, making it easy to find the one that suits you best, with a detailed guide to help you choose.

Is La Cup Luneale suitable for beginners?

Yes. Unlike rigid ordinary cups, the medical silicone of La Cup Luneale is flexible and follows your movements. The MoonPad® guides your fingers intuitively, which is reassuring during first uses.

Why is the wear time 6 hours?

In France, health regulations recommend changing any internal protection (tampon or cup) every 6 hours maximum to prevent TSS. Luneale is committed to your safety and displays this information with full transparency.

What is the difference between La Cup Luneale and an ordinary menstrual cup?

Most ordinary cups have a stem that can cause discomfort, irritation, or rubbing. La Cup Luneale is ergonomic and stemless: it uses the MoonPad® (patented) for easy and painless removal. It is the ideal solution for low cervixes or sensitive mucous membranes.
